All Saints Libretto Dress

| Dress: All Saints Libretto Dress | Necklace: Vintage belt worn as a necklace via Treasury (similar necklace) | Pumps: Christian Louboutin Filo Pumps | Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli bag (options one, two & three) |

The Dress

I took a few pictures before and after a fashion show capped off with a night out in Times Square. I picked up this dress on a shopping trip with a few bloggers, editors at Lucky Magazine, and friends from rewardStyle. I was attracted to the color, but was hesitant to try it on because of the loose, parachute shape. I am so glad I did because it's a dress that stands out without being too loud. I would have never picked it out online which reminds me that I need to remember to actually go to stores to shop more often.

The Necklace

Which brings me to my next piece- the necklace- which is actually a vintage belt from Treasury boutique near U-Street in D.C. I clasped the belt around my neck and let the chain cascade down the back of the dress. This is a case where I think the accessory made the look!

Yuna Yang Spring/Summer 2013

Yuna Yang debuted her Spring/Summer 2013 collection last weekend and I wanted to share with you pictures I photographed at the show of my favorite looks.

You may have seen a few of her pieces from her Spring/Summer 2012 collection that I wore a few months ago in this post.  I was thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with the designer again and attend the show.

The collection was donned in lace, lady-like details, and feminine tailoring. My favorite piece was of course a bold, red, long gown with a low back and bow cinching at the lower back and around the waist.

Yuna Yang incorporated a few monochromatic white looks as seen in a pants suit, fitted white dress with a cape back, a white gown with lace details as seen above, and a few ivory pieces. White work inspired wear was seen on a few runways and will be a trend for the spring. Most of the collection featured light chiffon fabrics in pastels with a few pops of red. I love the idea of pairing a rich, red color with light, playful colors.  What's your favorite look? What trends have you seen for S/S13?

NYFW Overview

I had the pleasure of taking a little vacation last week to play around in NYC for fashion week. I had the opportunity to attend the LuckyFabb conference, FNO in SoHo, Yuna Yang's show, and a party hosted by ASOS and rewardStyle. In between, there was a lot of brunching, blogger meet ups, and of course, shopping.

I snapped quite a few pictures on my camera and iPhone.  You can see a few on instagram if you follow me here).

I am eager to post pictures of the dress I wore to the Yuna Yang show and my favorite looks from the Spring 2013 collection. Check back later in the week for details. Here is a sneak peak though!
