We spent an amazing six days and five nights in Marrakech. I wanted to share some of our favorite places and photos from our trip with you. Please leave me a comment if you are planning a trip and have any questions.
The photos above were taken inside of the Palais de la Bahiaa. We walked around the old town of Marrakech with a private tour guide.
Here are some of the spices from the Souk Semmarine.
We wandered around the Jemaa el-Fna market. You can find many vendors with walls of baskets and other goods. You can buy a basket for under $10.
We went rug shopping at CHATEAU DES SOUKS. We bought a small, handmade rug. Most of the rugs in Marrakech are made by women and sold by women-owned businesses. It was one of the only pieces I purchased and I loved supporting the local women.
The spice markets smell wonderful. Morocco is known for its mint tea, so the markets all stocked with mint leaves.
The photo above was taken outside of the Koutoubia Mosque.
Here is a closer look of Alec’s shirt by Ministry of Supply. It’s machine washable, and does not wrinkle. You can wear it right out of the dryer (on cool). It is designed to breath well so it was comfortable in the hot temperatures.
This is another photo from inside of CHATEAU DES SOUKS.
