The Perfect Day Trip Bag
When I was packing for my 3 week trip to Spain and Morocco, I knew I’d need to pack an extra bag in my suitcase to use for the day trips we had planned and also if I wanted to shop locally and bring a few items home with me. I needed a bag that would fit in the bottom of my suitcase and also look chic. I also packed this bag with me in Denver (photo above).
In this post, I wanted to show you the JEMMA Birdie bag and point out the features that I love about it.
The Interior Lining
I love that the bag is beautiful on the outside AND the inside. The bright, white checked lining makes it easy to find what I am looking for. I often find myself fumbling around luggage with dark colored lining. It can be difficult to see, but the white lining makes it easy.
The Dust Bag and Cosmetic Case
The bag also comes with a dust bag. You can use it for shoes or dirty clothes. I used mine to pack a white dress in that I did not want to get stained or dirty. I used the cosmetic case to hold sunscreen and lotions. These two pieces come with the bag.
On one side of the bag you will find a zipper with a ventilated mesh fabric. This compartment will fit a pair of shoes perfectly. This came in handy for day trips because most of the time, I was packing this bag with an extra pair of clothes because I was doing an activity like horseback riding on the beach or riding ATVs in the desert where my shoes and clothes ended up VERY dirty. It is nice to be able to keep your dirty shoes away from the rest of your belongings.
On the opposite end of the bag, there is another small pocket. I used this pocket for my wallet for easy access.
The Interior Pockets
The bag has one large pocket on one side of the bag. It takes up most of the width of the bag. On the opposite side, there is a zipper pocket and three smaller compartments. You can see above on the left I have my iPhone 6+ in one, my sunglasses, and my passport.
Shop The Post
The bag is just under $200. I am wearing the Birdie style in British tan. You can buy it here.
