About the Look:
If you read my blog, you know I love a good workout AND stylish gear (read this post with my circuit workout, this one for weight training, and this PureBarre review). Lately, I’ve been taking up running. There is nothing like a good run on a beautiful Spring day. I love running around the monument in DC. It’s absolutely beautiful this time of year.
Butterfly Print: I can’t decide which print I like better. This one or the snake print. In person, I am more partial to the butterfly print, but I think the snake skin actually photographs better. Tough call!
Snake Print: I just feel really edgy in this print. I also like to wear it with just a black or white sports top. It is a great alternative to your basic black legging.
Leggings: I love the material of these. They hold up VERY well. I normally do not wear clothes before I photograph them for you guys, but I washed these 3 times before shooting them. They looked as good as new after a few wears. I feel like a lot of leggings will fade and loose their shape. The Peony and Me ones are of a high quality.
Sports Bra: This may just be a “me” thing, but do you ever have issues with sports bras being too tight and cause headaches and neck pain? And then they will also still cause you pain while running? I’m not working with a lot here, but I am very picky about sports bras. This one is very comfortable and supportive. I’ll wear it under “real” clothes some days because it’s really easy to wear
Zip Up: I am not sure if you can really see how cool the sheer arms are on this piece, but it looks really unique in person. I like it for the Spring because it’s light, but still warm for chilly mornings.
Back Pack: This is a vegan leather and I love the pastel shade. A backpack is great for the gym and running around on weekends. I like it for running because I will often hop on a bike at some point if I run too far and can’t make it home. The backpack allows me to be prepared for a full Saturday of activities, without holding me back.
Nike Sneakers: These are my go-to sneakers. They are great for running because it does not feel like you are wearing shoes. They have a nice bounce to them too.
